Lyd Noll played a variety of characters in ‘TEXAS ANNIE: The Legend Of The Moan Ranger’ in 2026, a campy, musical comedy. After playing Ashley Killjoy, the governor of Texas's seemingly straight, christian daughter for the last five years, Lyd was so excited to revive the role, this time bringing in the closeted queerness in earlier in the plot. Singing 'Power of Pleasure' was a highlight of doing this musical.
This time, Lyd also played the butch grandmother, Ginny Gina, an old woman who owns a sex shop, and famously says the line "Without sex, Texas is just T and A!" Granny had a complete opposite air than Ashley, and Lyd had a wonderful time playing with this contrast. In addition to Granny, Lyd played a country woman named Cookie, as well as the Judge Cross, who outlaws sex toys in Texas.
As a producer on this project, Lyd spent a lot of time creating a social media presence on Instagram, as well as helped fundraise the show in preparation to take it to Scotland. They could not be more proud.
